Strategic Partnerships

Develop and Maintain Strategic Partnerships at the University level in Mexico, China and Ethiopia to facilitate programs for all OSU Colleges that choose to work in those countries. China is the world’s largest economy, Mexico is a NAFTA partner of the United States and Ethiopia has a long history of support from OSU dating back to the Point 4 Program. The university will also encourage the development of College level strategic partnerships in countries that support the initiatives of the College level leadership.

Primary Goals

  • Increase the number of OSU students studying abroad, both long and short term, at strategic partner universities in Mexico, China and Ethiopia. The operational goal will be to have 100 OSU students study abroad in Mexico, 25 in China and 5 in Ethiopia at some time during the 2 year period starting January 1, 2016 and ending December 31st, 2017.
  • Support efforts within the colleges to enhance strategic relationships in Thailand, Vietnam and India.
